THE SAME THING I DID TO MY MOTHER.

Like I always had the dream since when I was young that I sucked blood. Though, my mother had been feeding me blood. She said it is our custom. That those who are weak, like me, must be fed with it. But no, I found it difficult to believe. I had fought many of my friends, but none of them were able to prevail against me. So, I asked them if sucking blood would make one powerful. I guessed, none could fathom what I was saying. All they replied were, that losing blood could make one weak. That must be childish stuff. I had no friends with me now. I am lonely.

The one person I cherish is my mother, but she later left me — travelled to where I can't hold her. I kept dreaming consistently.

“Ko ko ko” I heard the sound, someone is knocking at my door.

“Yes,” I sat up, doubting who the person might be. “Who is that?” I stood and sauntered to the door.

“Josephine.” The person muttered.

I know whom the person was immediately. “Oh!” I clutched the knob of the door and towed. “Ah Ah, come in,” my face grinned.

She took two-step forward, and I spread my hands to hug her. I did.

I walked her to my bed nestled against the wall.  I knew that is where she prefer to sit instead of the sitter sofa beside the window. I sat beside her and she rested her head on my thigh.

She glanced at me and her physiognomy was enwrapped with something bright. Her chuckle was infectious and I couldn’t help but giggle too

I placed my left hand on her cheek and raised her head with the left hand. I snail-paced my lips towards her neck to plant a kiss there. No! Everything changed now. My canines became a razor and pointer nail; drilled it to her flesh and sucked her blood. “What! I killed the second person I fancy just like I did to my mother. I am a murderer.”
